Join volunteers and other hikers involved in the Boundary Waters Advisory Committee to learn more about the Powwow Trail across the heart of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness during a free presentation Sept. 30 at Frost River in Duluth.

The presentation will include slides and a conversation about the Pagami Creek fire that burned across much of the Powwow Trail 10 years ago this month. The Boundary Waters Advisory Committee organized as many as 27 crews each year to make the trail passable again, cutting thousands of trees that fall each year.

The presentation is 6-7 p.m. at the Frost River store, 1910 W. Superior St. For more information, contact Martin Kubik at 651-214-5849 or wtrails2@yahoo.com or go to boundarywaterstrails.org.
