Recent letters to the editor have questioned the responsiveness of U.S. Rep. Pete Stauber. From personal experience, I can say he sent rapid responses to three out of four messages I sent to his office via email. The first three responses consisted of form letters only superficially related to the points I presented but mainly describing his views, very similar to a campaign ad. In none of the three letters did he address the specific issues I raised. The level of communication would rate slightly above a robocall and just a bit lower than a Christmas letter from a long-forgotten relative. In the fourth letter I wrote to his office, I brought up the topic of response via form letter. As yet, I have not heard back from his office. That was three weeks ago.
