Authorities are searching for a 28-year-old man who went missing while swimming in Sturgeon Lake on Saturday.
The Pine County Sheriff's Office, along with first responders from the Sturgeon Lake and Moose Lake fire departments, responded to a 911 call regarding the missing swimmer just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the Sheriff's Office reported Sunday morning in a news release.
Searchers from those agencies along with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the St. Louis County Rescue Squad attempted to find the man until about 2 a.m. Sunday morning. The search resumed at 8 a.m. Sunday.
Divers from the Stacy Lent Fire Department joined the search Sunday.
The Sheriff's Office did not identify the missing man, and provided no further details on the incident.
