Armed robbery reported at Duluth convenience store
The Duluth Police Department is seeking information regarding an armed robbery reported on Sunday night in the East Hillside neighborhood.
Two men, both armed with handguns, entered the Short Stop convenience store, 1301 E. Ninth St., at 10:36 p.m. Sunday and demanded money from the cash register, according to police. After physically assaulting the store clerk, the men fled from the store with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, police said. The clerk suffered minor injuries from the assault.
Police described both men as being black and between 5 feet, 9 inches and 5 feet, 11 inches tall. One man had some facial hair, and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a white shirt underneath, light-colored ripped jeans, white shoes and sunglasses. The other man was wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, darker acid washed jeans with ripped knees and red shoes with white soles, according to police.
