Snow delays work on Superior Street
Plans to begin work on Superior Street have been placed on hold by the resurgence of winter in the Northland.
The project was scheduled to begin today but now is expected to begin Wednesday, after snow has been cleared from the work site. As of Wednesday, the Duluth Transit Authority aims to detour all westbound buses traveling to and from the Duluth Transportation Center. The reconstruction of Superior Street will take three years to complete and is expected to cost about $31.5 million. Crews initially will tackle the segment between Seventh Avenue West and Third Avenue West.
