St. Luke’s hospital is tentatively set to open a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Duluth in early February for patients 65 and older. It will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The clinic will offer 250 vaccine appointments per day, with the plan to increase that number as state vaccine allocations permit. St. Luke's will initially focus on serving its patients, and will expand appointments to the rest of the public as vaccines are available. Appointments may need to be rescheduled based on vaccine availability, according to a news release from St. Luke's.
“We are trying to share as much information as possible, yet I want to emphasize information may change because this is a fluid situation,” St. Luke’s interim Co-President and CEO Dr. Nick Van Deelen said. “I know it’s not always easy to wait, but I want to thank people for their patience as we navigate these unprecedented times together.”

St. Luke’s will distribute the vaccine based on state guidelines. Appointments are required. Walk-ins will not be allowed.
A system to register for a vaccination appointment is being developed. St. Luke’s will provide complete details in the near future. In the meantime, do not call your Minnesota clinic or provider for a vaccine appointment.
Across the bridge in Wisconsin, St. Luke’s Mariner Medical Clinic in Superior has been designated a vaccine distribution site by the Wisconsin Department of Health. The clinic has a very limited supply of the COVID-19 vaccine for those ages 65 and older.
