St. Louis County reported on Wednesday that 28 more residents in the county have tested positive for COVID-19.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 18 cases in St. Louis County on Wednesday, but the county said another 10 were attributed to the county's numbers on Tuesday after the state's daily COVID-19 update had already been released.
The county is recording 20 more diagnoses of COVID-19 in the Duluth area and four in the Eveleth area. The Hibbing and Hermantown areas are each recording one more person with COVID-19.
The number of known cases in the county currently requiring isolation has increased by five to 197.
The number of patients hospitalized in COVID-19 in the county has increased by two to three patients. One of them is in an intensive care unit.

Also on Wednesday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported one more person with COVID-19 in Itasca and Koochiching counties each.
Statewide, Minnesota only reported 282 more people with COVID-19, along with the completion of only 5,373 diagnostic tests.
Seven more Minnesota residents have died from COVID-19. None of them resided in the northeast part of the state.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported five more people with COVID-19 in Bayfield County. That's the most cases the county has recorded in a single day and puts this week's total so far at 11.
Douglas County is recording five more people with COVID-19 and Ashland County is recording one new diagnosis.
The new cases were among 857 reported statewide on Wednesday. Another 8,871 people have been tested.
Fifteen more Wisconsin residents have died from COVID-19. None of them resided in the Northland.
