St. Louis, Carlton counties each report one more confirmed COVID-19 case

One more case of COVID-19 was confirmed in St. Louis County on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases confirmed through lab-based testing to 44, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

An additional case has been reported in Carlton County, bringing the total to 29.

Itasca County still has two total cases; its most recent confirmed case was reported April 1. Cook and Lake counties have no confirmed cases.

No new deaths were reported in the Northland on Thursday, leaving the total at six, all in St. Louis County.

Statewide, 1,912 people have tested positive and 1,020 people no longer need to be isolated. On Thursday, 213 people were hospitalized and 103 of them were in an intensive care unit.

The Health Department reported seven more deaths in Minnesota, bringing the total to 94.
