One new death in St. Louis County; 2 new COVID-19 cases in St. Louis, Carlton counties

The Minnesota Department of Health reported another COVID-19-related death in St. Louis County on Sunday.

This brings the death total to nine in St. Louis County. Carlton and St. Louis counties also each reported two new COVID-19 cases Sunday.

The new cases bring St. Louis County to 48 confirmed cases and Carlton County to 36 total. Lake and Cook counties still have zero confirmed cases.

Minnesota's confirmed cases grew by 143 for a total of 2,356 positive cases with 1,160 people no longer needing isolation. The number of deaths in Minnesota grew by 13 for a total of 134. As of Sunday, 228 people were hospitalized for COVID-19 with 116 of them in an intensive care unit or ICU.
