One new case, death in St. Louis County; no new cases in Carlton County

One more person has tested positive for COVID-19 in St. Louis County and another died from the virus, bringing the number of cases confirmed through lab-based testing to 102 and the total number of deaths to 13 on Sunday.

For the third day in a row, the Minnesota Health Department hasn't reported any new cases in Carlton County, where the number of cases confirmed over the last several weeks is 66.

Itasca County recorded three new cases Sunday, bringing the total to 46. Itasca County also recorded one additional death, with the total death count now up to five. Pine County still has 83 cases.

No new cases have been reported in Lake County since May 6, leaving the total known cases at one. Cook County still has not had any confirmed cases.

Minnesota reported 699 additional cases on Sunday.

Statewide, 15,668 people have tested positive and 1,811 of them have been health care workers. Of the total number of people who have tested positive, 10,897 of them no longer need to be isolated.

On Sunday, 487 people were hospitalized and 221 of them were in an intensive care unit.

The Health Department reported 22 more deaths in Minnesota, bringing the total to 722.
