Northland logs 56 COVID-19 cases, 1 death

Minnesota and Wisconsin health officials reported 56 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in the Northland.

An Itasca County resident between ages 70 and 74 has died from COVID-19, bringing the county's number of lives lost to 59.

About 48% of Northeastern Minnesota residents have completed their vaccine series, while about 45% have across Ashland, Bayfield and Douglas counties.
