Fifty-one more Northland residents have tested positive for COVID-19 and one more has died from the illness as of Sunday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
The death in Koochiching County was a resident in between the ages of 75 and 79. It's the 11th death related to COVID-19 in Koochiching County since the start of the pandemic.
Minnesota reported 13 deaths on Sunday, while Wisconsin reported 3.

Minnesota reported 996 new cases statewide and Wisconsin reported 1,007.

Another 3,321 vaccine shots have been administered to Northeastern Minnesota residents, bringing the total number of people in the region who have received at least one vaccine dose to 34,225 and the number of people who have completed the two-dose series to about 9,100.
Statewide, 17.6% of Minnesotans ages 65 and older have received a COVID-19 vaccine. In Northeastern Minnesota that number is 20%.
The state's most recent vaccine administration figures are from Friday, Jan. 29.
