The president and CEO of the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing will step down from his role Jan. 4 to serve in a similar position at a Colorado hospital.
Patrick Sharp has been the president and CEO at Fairview Range since 2018 and has been with the medical center since 2009.
The Fairview Range board of directors will work with the medical center's leadership team on ensuring a smooth transition in the coming week, read a Wednesday news release from Fairview Range in which Sharp said he's grateful for the time he was at the helm of Fairview Range.
“During my time here, I have been blessed with many great opportunities and relationships," he said. "The strong dedication of the health care staff and providers at this organization make it a great place, and I am humbled to have had the opportunity to work with all of them."
The Hibbing medical center announced Sharp's upcoming departure on the same day that St. Luke's, the Duluth-based health care system, shared that its CEO and president had stepped down.
