Essentia Health pharmacies are now offering curbside pickup, except at its pharmacy on First Street in downtown Duluth, where access is limited due to construction.
The curbside pickup was designed as a social distancing solution, though it's not mandatory and people will still be allowed to enter the pharmacies, a news release from Essentia read. The curbside pickup service is especially helpful for high-risk patients and those with chronic disease.
After patients call the pharmacy for a refill, or use the online refill webpage at EssentiaHealth.org/RxRefills , they can drive up to an Essentia pharmacy, park in a designated spot and follow the posted instructions. There will be a phone number to call and then a pharmacy staff member will bring out the order to the patient.
