Another 110 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in the Northland, according to Minnesota and Wisconsin state health officials Sunday. A majority of those residents are based in Itasca and St. Louis counties.

The 10-county region logged no new COVID-19 related deaths. Minnesota logged six new deaths statewide and Wisconsin reported no new deaths. Wisconsin also logged 405 new positive cases statewide and Minnesota reported 1,713 new cases statewide.

New cases and seven-day averages in Northland counties:

  • Aitkin — 4; 3.3.
  • Carlton —10; 6.1.
  • Cook — 0; 0.4.
  • Itasca —43; 26.6.
  • Koochiching — 2; 2.3.
  • Lake — 1; 1.
  • St. Louis — 42; 39.9.
  • Ashland — 0; 1.7.
  • Bayfield — 0; 0.9.
  • Douglas — 8; 5.6.

Another 1,380 people received their first doses of vaccine in Northeastern Minnesota counties. In the Wisconsin counties of Douglas, Bayfield and Ashland, another 34 people received their first doses.
