Sixty-eight Northland residents were received positive test results for COVID-19 Wednesday, and the Minnesota Department of Health reported one St. Louis County resident died.

The St. Louis County resident who died was in their late 80s. More than half of the region’s COVID-19 cases were reported in St. Louis County.

Minnesota reported 2,004 new COVID-19 cases and Wisconsin reported 727. Minnesota reported 19 more deaths and Wisconsin reported five deaths.
