Northeastern Minnesota recorded 41 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
A majority of those cases were located in St. Louis County, which saw 27 new cases. The county also recorded two deaths related to COVID-19, one of who was between the ages of 85-89 and the other was between 90-94 years old.
Itasca County reported 11 new cases, and Carlton County reported two new cases of COVID-19.
Statewide, the state health department reported a total of 13 new deaths and 741 confirmed cases as of Sunday.
Total confirmed cases in the state reached 84,311 on Sunday, with 1,919 total deaths. Nearly 73% of Minnesota's COVID-19 deaths were people living in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
As of Sunday, 241 people were hospitalized across the state for COVID-19. Of this, 136 people were in an intensive care unit setting.
The state reported 21,489 new diagnostic tests on Sunday.
In Wisconsin, Douglas County reported one new case and Ashland County reported three new cases.
