The Minnesota Department of Health reported 25 new cases of COVID-19 in the Northland on Wednesday, with 16 of those coming from St. Louis County.
Carlton, Itasca and Koochiching counties all reported one new case each.
Statewide, the health department reported 681 new cases and completed 13,481 new tests.
The health department also reported nine new deaths, none of which were in Northeastern Minnesota.
The number of patients hospitalized in an intensive care unit in Minnesota was 143, up five from Tuesday. The number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19, but not in an ICU, was 167, up 11 from Tuesday.
Douglas County recorded six new cases, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Bayfield and Ashland counties reported no new cases Wednesday.
Statewide in Wisconsin, 14,694 tests were completed and there were 870 new cases and five deaths related to COVID-19.
