Another 78 people in the Northland have tested positive for COVID-19 and three more have died as of Sunday.
All three deaths were among St. Louis County residents in their 80s. This brings the county death toll to 250, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Of the 78 new cases, 54 were St. Louis County residents and the county has a seven-day average new case rate of 51.6.

Minnesota reported 1,196 new cases statewide and 32 new deaths. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 1,119 new cases statewide and six new deaths.
In Northeastern Minnesota, another 1,316 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and about 393 more have completed their second dose of the two-dose series.

On Sunday, the state reported that 19,214 people in the seven-county region had received at least one shot and of those nearly 5,770 had completed the series.
Those figures only include data reported as of Jan. 21 and do not include those who attended the pilot clinic in Mountain Iron on Saturday.
