Another 28 people in the Northland have been diagnosed with COVID-19 as of Monday.
Eighteen of those cases were recorded in St. Louis County, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. That brings the county's August total to 501 cases. Since mid-March, the county has recorded 885 cases.
According to the county, 167 people with COVID-19 still require self-isolation as of Monday, and three are currently hospitalized, one of which is in an ICU.
The state reported three new cases in Carlton County, two in Itasca County and one new case in both Lake and Koochiching counties.
Statewide, Minnesota reported 679 more people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and another 11,346 diagnostic tests have been completed.

One more Minnesota resident — a Waseca County person living in a long-term care facility — died from the illness.
Three more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Douglas County, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Statewide, Wisconsin reported 266 more people with COVID-19 but no more deaths. Another 3,818 diagnostic tests have been conducted in the state.
