The Minnesota Department of Health reported Friday that 17 more Northeastern Minnesota residents have tested positive for COVID-19, while Wisconsin reported nine more diagnoses in the northwestern part of the state.
Thirteen of those people live in St. Louis County. On Friday, the county reported that the number of known people with COVID-19 currently requiring isolation was 177. The number of hospitalizations remained the same for the third day in a row at three patients, with one of them in an intensive care unit.
The county did not update the number of cases confirmed in each postal city Friday.
Three more people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Itasca County and one more person has tested positive in Koochiching County.
The new cases were among 484 reported statewide. The state reported the completion of another 17,841 diagnostic tests.

Thirteen more Minnesota residents have died from COVID-19. Seven of them lived in long-term care or assisted living facilities and all were at least 65 years old. None of them resided in the Northland.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported that eight more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Douglas County.
The University of Wisconsin-Superior started its bi-weekly testing of students living on campus this week. Between Tuesday and Thursday, six students have tested positive, according to the UW System's COVID-19 dashboard.
One more person has tested positive in Bayfield County.
Wisconsin reported a total of 1,369 more people with COVID-19 on Friday. Another 9,955 people have been tested.
Four more Wisconsin residents have died from COVID-19. None of them were Northland residents.
