1 new COVID-19 case each in Douglas, Itasca, Koochiching counties; no new cases in St. Louis, Carlton

One more person has tested positive for COVID-19 in both Itasca and Koochiching counties, bringing the number of cases confirmed through lab-based testing to 53 and six, respectively, on Monday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

There were no new positive cases reported in St. Louis, Carlton, Lake, Aitkin and Pine counties Monday. Cook County still has no reported cases of COVID-19.

St. Louis County has 111 positive cases and 13 deaths. Carlton County has 73 positive cases and no deaths.

Statewide, 21,315 people have tested positive and 14,816 of them no longer need to be isolated, not including deaths.

On Monday, the Health Department reported the completion of 6,095 more diagnostic tests and 745 new cases.

On Monday, 605 people were hospitalized and 248 of them were in an intensive care unit.

The Health Department reported 12 more deaths in Minnesota, bringing the total to 881. Of those fatalities, 717 of them were residences of long-term care facilities.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported one new COVID-19 case in Douglas County, bringing the total to 18. Bayfield and Ashland counties still remain at three and two positive cases, respectively.
