Women’s march fundraiser to help send folks to D.C.

A fundraiser will be held Sunday in Duluth to help send Twin Ports-area women to the Women’s March on Washington next month.
The march is set to take place on Jan. 21 - the day after the presidential inauguration. March organizers say participants will “stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.”
The all-ages fundraiser will take place from 6-9 p.m. at Red Herring Lounge, 208 E. First St., featuring music and vendors selling items to support the effort. There’s a $10 suggested donation at the door; the goal is to raise $4,000 to send 10 women to the march via bus.
