To commemorate Women's History month a film, "She's Beautiful When She's Angry," will be shown twice at the University of Minnesota Duluth. The first showing will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 in Kirby Student Center room 268. The second will be 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 at Montague Hall room 70. Admission is free.
The film relates the history of the modern women's movement from 1966 to 1971, from the founding of NOW (National Organization for Women), with ladies in hats and gloves, to the emergence of more radical factions, intellectuals like Kate Millett and the street theatrics of W.I.T.C.H. (Women's International Conspiracy from Hell). A discussion is planned for after the film.
