A Duluth woman was critically injured this afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Grand Avenue at the intersection with 75th Avenue West.
According to the Duluth Police Department, the 49-year woman was a passenger in a 1996 Dodge Stratus driven by a 21-year-old Duluth woman, which collided with a 1994 Ford Ranger that was eastbound on Grand Avenue. The accident happened when the Dodge was turned southbound onto 75th Avenue West.
The driver of the Dodge and a 1-year-old passenger were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The older woman passenger was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in criti-cal condition.
The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old Duluth man, was also taken to St. Luke's, apparently also with non-life threatening injures.
According to the police, all the adults were wearing seat belts and the baby was in a child re-straint seat.

The accident happened around 1:14 p.m. According to police, neither excessive speed nor driver impairment appeared to be contributing factors in this crash. The accident is under investigation by the Duluth Police Department Traffic Office.
