Authorities say a man attacked a woman with a knife Friday night in Hibbing, leaving her hospitalized.
The man was arrested with self-inflicted knife wounds, according to the Hibbing Police Department, after the alleged domestic assault on the 2200 block of First Avenue just before midnight. He is under guard at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. The department said the incident was isolated and “there is no danger to our community.”
Police did not release the name of the woman or remark on her condition, but said she was in a Duluth hospital.
