Woman steals vehicle from Duluth steam plant, drives through closed door, crashes into construction equipment
A 39-year-old woman reportedly stole a vehicle from the Duluth steam plant on Lake Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect, identified as Roberta Karla Kriegh, allegedly drove the truck from inside the steam plant and out a closed door. She then proceeded south on Canal Park Drive where she crashed into construction equipment before the intersection with Buchanan Street, according to the Duluth Police Department.
The suspect then fled into the DeWitt Seitz Marketplace building, where officers apprehended her.
Kriegh is currently lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for burglary, vehicle theft, hit-and-run and criminal damage to property.
