Three vehicles were involved in an accident causing serious injury on Minnesota Highway 135 near Virginia on Monday evening, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
The accident happened at 6 p.m. when an eastbound Ford Contour crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic. The driver overcorrected and slid sideways into the westbound lane, and was hit on the rear driver's side door by a Mercury Sable. The Sable then spun into a Dodge Dakota.
The driver of the Ford, Julia M. Shanks, 26, of Aurora suffered nonlife-threatening injuries. Her passenger, Daqrai R. Shanks, 6, was treated and released.
David Witschen, 45, of Aurora was driving the Dodge Dakota. Jeffery Jacobson, 26, of Virginia was driving the Mercury Sable. The State Patrol did not release the men's conditions Tuesday night.
