A 32-year-old New Post, Wis., woman is dead following a one-car accident Friday in Sawyer County.
The woman was driving northbound on Indian Road on the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation around 1:47 p.m. when her car left the road and struck a tree, a press release from the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department said.
The woman, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was taken to Hayward Memorial Hospital, where she died of her injuries.
The woman's identity has not been released.
