Wisconsin woman dies after being found unresponsive in Hinckley hotel bathtub

A Wisconsin woman has died after being found unresponsive in the bathtub of a hotel in Hinckley, the Pine County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday.

The woman, said to be in her 50s, was reported as having drowned in a tub at the America’s Best Motel just before 11 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Pine County Sheriff's Office.

First responders conducted efforts to save the woman, who was later taken by helicopter to a Twin Cities hospital, where she died.

A person accompanying the woman indicated she had been consuming alcohol before the incident, the news release read. It is unclear at this time if she suffered a medical condition while in the tub.

The woman’s body was transferred to the medical examiner’s office and autopsy results are pending.
