A Pierce County assistant district attorney was cited for two violations for his role in a traffic accident Sunday night.

Gregory Amann, 53, Ellsworth, Wis., was cited for failure to notify police of an accident and driving too fast for conditions.

According to the accident report, Amann was riding his motorcycle on a county road, descending a steep hill and negotiating a sharp curve when he lost control because he was going too fast. After the motorcycle overturned, Amann left the scene, the report states.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department was notified of the accident at 9:14 p.m. when Amann walked into a local bar and a 911 call was placed. Prescott, Wis., police and EMS responded. A sheriff's deputy was requested 30 minutes later after officers learned the accident occurred outside Prescott city limits.

Reports state Amann refused medical treatment. Because it wasn't known when the accident occurred, no alcohol test was given, according to the reports.
