- Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College campus closing at 1 p.m (classes canceled after 11 a.m.)

- Mesabi Range College campuses (Eveleth and Virginia) closing at noon
- Barnum closing at 12:45 p.m. (elementary) and 1 p.m. (high school)
- Carlton closing at 1:30 p.m. (elementary) and 1:40 p.m. (high school)

- Cloquet - after-school/evening activities canceled
- Cromwell-Wright schools closing at 1:15 p.m.

- Pine City closing at 12:40 p.m. (elementary) and 12:55 p.m. (high school)
- Proctor - after-school and evening activities canceled; Proctor High School will not participate in the Christmas City parade
- South Ridge School
- Tower-Soudan

- Willow River closing at 1 p.m.
- Wrenshall closing at 12:20 p.m.
Other closings / cancellations:
- The College of St. Scholastica announced Thursday that the concert, workshop and prayer service with composer David Haas planned for tonight and Saturday have been postponed because of the forecast winter storm. The events will be rescheduled.
- Minnesota Discovery Center closed
- Virginia Salvation Army offices closed
- Operation Christmas Child will be closing its collection point at the Mount of Olives Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Collections will resume at 10 a.m. Saturday.
