The rock band Wilco will perform at Bayfront Festival Park on Aug. 14, park director Craig Samborski announced today.
Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday and will be available at www.bayfrontfestivalpark.com , ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations and by phone from 727-2121. All seats are general admission and cost $25 plus any applicable fees.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
"I am very pleased to make this announcement," Samborski said in a news release. "Wilco's new release Sky Blue Sky has jettisoned the band to a new high in their career. The band will finish their current European tour in mid-July and kick off the next leg of their North American tour from Bayfront Festival Park."
The Chicago-based band released its seventh album, "Sky Blue Sky," on May 15.
