Laura Widen and Christian von Goertz, both of Two Harbors, were married Oct. 7 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors.
Her parents are Jim and Julie Widen of Two Harbors. His parents are Paul and Mary von Goertz of Knife River.
The bride chose her sister, Rachel Gischia, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Melanie Christofferson, Anne McWhite, Sonja Gab and Melissa von Goertz.
The groom chose his brother, Paul von Goertz, as best man. Groomsmen were Marc Cloutier, Scott Gischia, Matthew Widen and Nate Gens.
The bride, a 2000 graduate of Two Harbors High School, graduated from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in food and nutrition: dietetics. She is a registered dietitian for Minnesota Veteran's Home in Silver Bay.

The groom, a 1998 graduate of Two Harbors High School, graduated from Vermilion Community College in Ely in 2003 with an associate degree in law enforcement. He is a Lake County deputy sheriff.
