Whitney Hope Arseneau, age 18, of Cambridge Street, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born in Duluth on November 19, 1987 to Maria (Christianson) and Gregg Arseneau.
Whitney attended Lakeview Christian Academy, and was a June graduate of Duluth East High School. She was a member of the Duluth East basketball team. Whitney enjoyed music, writing, the outdoors, hunting and hanging out with her brother.
She will be remembered for her love for God, her kindness toward others, her gift for basketball, and her ability to break out in dance.
Survivors include her father Gregg Arseneau; her mother and step-father Maria and John Walker; her brother Mitchell Arseneau; her step-sisters Kacia and Jonnelle Walker, all of Duluth; her maternal grandparents Larry and Georgia Christianson of Hibbing; her step-grandparents Barbara Long and Calvin Carron of Duluth; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
VISITATION:5-7 p.m. Thursday in Dougherty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Vineyard Church, 5202 Colorado Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
