What's open and what's closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas

Friday is Christmas Day, so many businesses will be closed Thursday or Friday or both.

Closed Thursday and Friday: Duluth city offices, Superior city offices, Douglas County offices, Wisconsin state offices, the Duluth Public Library and branches, the Superior Library, area schools and school district offices, and Fond du Lac Reservation tribal offices.

Open Thursday but closed Friday: Duluth post offices (retail window) 8 a.m. to noon, Superior post offices open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., St. Louis County offices, Minnesota state offices, Minnesota and Wisconsin federal offices open until noon, Western Lake Superior Sanitary District and Duluth Transit Authority/STRIDE services until 7 p.m.
