On Thursday, we'll have mostly sunny skies as high pressure moves east over northern Michigan. As this high moves east, a low will move closer to this region from the west. This gives us a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon.
On Saturday, the low still will be hanging out with us. It gives us another 50 percent chance of showers and storms. This is a slow-moving system because it's associated with a trough in the jet stream that will creep eastward into early next week.
