Much of the Northland will wake up to a fresh inch or so of snowfall today. Lingering snow showers this morning with a gusty northwest wind may mean a slippery morning commute.
These winds will also hold us in this chilly weather pattern through Friday, with daytime highs only managing mid to upper teens at best. Lake-effect snow will resume for the South Shore later Wednesday, with more significant accumulation likely.
A warm-up is in the forecast for the weekend. We may actually make a run at the freezing mark both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday brings a chance for a wintry mix followed by another shot for accumulating snow Monday.
