Have you ever wished you had the means to write about something you experienced in the woods with more panache? A piece that others would want to read?
Larry Weber and Mike Gabler will present a program at Hartley designed to help budding outdoor writers explore their creative sides at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
"Nature Writing: The Whos and Hows" will take a look into the process of nature writing from a writer's point of view, actively involving everyone who attends in the process. Participants will be asked to bring along samples from their favorite nature/outdoor writers for reading and discussion.
The focus will then shift to the practice of nature journaling, and the role it plays in creating lively and compelling nature prose.
This Adult's Night Out program can't promise to make a great nature writer out of you, but you will leave with a better understanding of the process of writing and a few ideas for sparking your own creativity.
