CHUM will activate the Gloria Dei warming center Friday night as temperatures are expected to be below 10 degrees.

The Gloria Dei Center, located at 219 N. Sixth Ave. E., opens at 8 p.m. and closes at 8 a.m. The center encourages guests not to arrive early, according to a news release from CHUM.

The address operates as both a drop-in center and a warming center, meaning guests can also come and go throughout the night. The CHUM Drop-In Center is open every night.

On Sundays the center closes at 7 a.m.

In Superior, the Ruth House, 632 Grand Ave., is open as a warming center from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. when the temperature is 40 degrees or colder.

The Duluth Transit Authority provides free rides to Duluth warming centers from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m., and to the Ruth House on the first and last trips on Route 16.
