Your forecast for today: A strong area of low pressure approaching today will bring increasing showers this morning with a steady rainfall and very windy conditions developing by this afternoon. East winds gusting up to 45 mph will also make for large waves on Lake Superior. Temperatures will remain steady today around 48 degrees with 1-2 inches of rainfall expected from today through Wednesday morning when things should begin to taper off.

Tonight: Overcast skies and breezy winds will continue this evening along with continued rain showers. The winds should gradually get lighter overnight, but the rain chances will stick around with an overnight low near 40 degrees.

Tomorrow: As the slow-moving low-pressure system will still be impacting the Northland on Tuesday, we can expect to deal with more clouds and more rain with temperatures topping out only near 45 degrees. Winds will shift to the northwest, but stay on the breezy side with gusts up to 35 mph.

After a few morning rain and snow showers possible on Wednesday, we should start to see a drying trend through the end of the week. Temperatures will remain on the chilly side though with afternoon highs only in the low 40s.
