Wednesday's forecast for Duluth and the Northland
Wednesday: Our next round of snowfall will begin to push into the Northland from the south later this morning. Snow will spread across the Northland throughout the day with a very snowy and slippery evening commute expected for the area. Temperatures should climb to an afternoon high near 22 degrees with about 3-6 inches of snow expected. Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are active until midnight tonight.
Wednesday night: The snow showers will persist this evening before gradually tapering off after midnight. Mostly cloudy skies will stick around overnight with a low temperature near 14 degrees.
Thursday: We will catch a break between storm systems. We will see mostly cloudy skies with an afternoon high near 26 degrees.
Another round of snow is expected on Friday as a warm front lifts across the region. Right now it looks like we could end up with about 1-3 inches of snow with some locally higher amounts possible.
