Strong wind gusts predicted Wednesday night

The National Weather Service is predicting a strong cold front will move through the Northland, bringing with it strong wind gusts on Wednesday night.

The winds are expected to come from the northwest, with the strongest winds occurring from 8-11 p.m. Wednesday, with more gusts occurring until the early morning hours of Thursday. Duluth, the North Shore and both the Bong and Blatnik bridges could see isolated wind gusts to nearly 50 miles per hour, according to the Weather Service.
