Your forecast for today: We will get off to a very warm and humid start on this Friday morning under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will soar into the mid to upper 80s for the southern half of the region by the afternoon, while areas along the Canadian border will be a touch cooler in the 70s. We will reach a high near 86 degrees here in the Twin Ports.

Along with the heat and humidity will come increasing clouds and the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into the evening hours. The best chance of these storms will be south of the Twin Ports and over Northwest Wisconsin. The environment is favorable for some tornadoes to develop along with large hail and damaging winds with any storms that develop.

Tonight: We will keep the chance of strong to severe storms in the forecast this evening, but things should start to quiet down after midnight with a low near 60 degrees.

Tomorrow: We may see a few pesky showers sticking around as we kick off our weekend on Saturday morning. The best chance of any showers will once again be over Northwest Wisconsin with drier conditions and partly cloudy skies moving in by the afternoon. Temperatures will be slightly cooler and much more comfortable with a high near 77 degrees.

A much drier and cooler pattern begins to take shape on Sunday with plenty of sunshine and a high topping out near 75 degrees.
