The National Weather Service has dropped the flood watch for Duluth; it continues through tonight for Pine County in Minnesota, and all of Northwestern Wisconsin.
One to 3 inches of rain is forecast for the watch area; lesser rain totals are expected for Duluth, the Iron Range and points north. A large area of rain continues to push northward into the region; you can track its progress on radar here or here .
A gale warning is in effect for the waters of Lake Superior. At 1:15 p.m., winds were out of the northeast at 30 mph, gusting to 36 mph at Duluth’s Sky Harbor Airport. Waves may reach 10 feet later today.
