The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for minor flooding in southern St. Louis County, southern Lake County, Douglas County, Carlton County and Pine County until 9 p.m. The advisory includes Duluth, Superior, Cloquet and Two Harbors.

At 3 p.m., heavy rain continued across the advisory area, and the Weather Service had received reports of small streams rising out of their banks in the Duluth and Hermantown areas. Also, high water was reported on Minnesota Highway 1 near Isabella.

The heavy rain is forecast to continue for several more hours, and it may take several hours after that for high waters to recede.
