The National Weather Service received a report of a waterspout on Lake Superior near Park Point shortly after 11 a.m. today.
Spotters reported the waterspout about 2 miles off Park Point, moving south-southwest toward the point, at 11:05 a.m. They reported it dissipated at 11:10 a.m., before reaching land.
A waterspout is a tornado that occurs over water, though frequently they are quite weak compared to tornadoes on land.
