Water sweeps down shoulder of Duluth street

Water from an apparent water main break cascaded down the shoulder of Arlington Avenue in Duluth on Sunday afternoon. The water swept down the shoulder and across driveways that recently had been repaired -- or still needed fixing -- after the record rainfall and flooding in Duluth in late June. The water appeared to be originating from a break beneath Arlington south of Olive Street; it ran downhill to Ideal Street, where it entered a branch of Chester Creek.
