Horton's Boxing Gym and the Duluth-Superior Dukes have partnered to bring professional boxing matches to Wade Stadium this summer.
Sharky Horton, owner of Horton's Boxing Gym, and Adam Ehlert, general manager of the Dukes, have teamed up to present matches June 7, July 5 and Aug. 23.
"These sensational events could mean great things for the Twin Ports area. Eight professional fighters from the Midwest as well as Canada have already signed contracts for the fights," Horton said.
Currently speaking with a national television station, Horton is close to signing a deal for the August boxing match. He has won numerous team championships, coached many champions, and is currently working hard on bringing pro boxing to Duluth.
