Voyageurs National Park workers have determined that sufficient ice exists to stake the section of the Green Trail snowmobile trail from the Ash River resort community to Crane Lake.
The decision means that two of the park's snowmobile trails - the Green Trail and the Black Bay to Kabetogama Lake to Ash River Trail - are open and staked. The park's other snowmobile trails are not open.
The Rainy Lake ice road is also closed.
The park's land-based ski and snowshoe trails are open, although at the Echo Bay ski trail only the novice loop is open.
